If you feel like you’ve been slacking off and want to change, I’ve listed a couple of tips on how you can stay motivated and be at the top of your game:

1. 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗨𝗽
Before you start working, allot a few minutes to manage your schedule and break your workloads into smaller pieces. Start with the easy things then move over to the more complicated tasks after.

2. 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹
Just like breaking down your schedule into smaller pieces, establish a goal. What do you want to accomplish during the day or the week?

3. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
One of the causes of slacking off is distractions so prevent yourself from getting sidetracked by eliminating distractions.

4. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲
Since you’ll be working long hours, make yourself comfortable. Get proper lighting and organize your desk. Sit comfortably and have a suitable chair.

5. 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳
Once you’re done for the day, treat yourself for that hard work. Perhaps get a dessert or a latte. Rewarding yourself after a long day helps condition your mind or create a positive reinforcement, making you less likely slack off.

Tell me how do you fight the urge to slack off at work?
